Doppler imaging shows effects of acupuncture: it's powerful medicine and it works!

Once again modern medicine testing demonstrates the strength of acupuncture and the fact that it changes the body.  Here's a doppler imaging study about it.  I'll post the conclusion here in case you don't want to read the entire article:

CDI can noninvasively depict blood vessels in the human body and can quantitatively evaluate blood flow in real time. Our studies showed the changes of blood flow in the peripheral, mesenteric, and retrobulbar arteries by acupuncture estimated by CDI. This technique is suitable as an evaluation method to consider physiological changes due to acupuncture as blood flow changes.
Acupuncture works!

Study shows acupuncture more effective than Clomid for treating infertility!

What else do I need to say?  Acupuncture works! ..... and I believe that many Practitioners of Chinese medicine have higher conception and live birth rates than a lot of fertility clinics partly because we treat the entire person. I know that my practice's success rate is higher.  In 2009 the CDC said the IVF success rate was 29% which is miserably low when you consider the cost, side effects, invasiveness, etc.  Why might our success rate be higher?  As I said, we treat the entire system including emotional factors and I treat the male partner as well ..... the male is a part of the process after all and fertility challenges can be up to 40% due to the male.  If you and your partner are experiencing fertility issues, call for a free consult.

Icing injuries may delay healing .... Chinese Medicine believes in warmth so this study supports our theory

In Chinese Medicine, we treat most pain with warmth over icing.  Icing causes qi and blood stagnation which are the most frequent causes of pain.  So, if you're in pain, why exacerbate it?  This study demonstrates that icing actually delays healing by preventing the body from making a key repair hormone .... and when you're hurting you need your body to be able to repair itself.

fMRI studies show how acupuncture changes the body: it works!

I adore reading these fMRI studies.  They come in handy if I am ever in a conversation with someone who thinks that acupuncture is "just a placebo" .... that it doesn't change anything in the body.  I'm a Research Psychologist and wouldn't be practicing a medicine that wasn't supported by research and history not to mention my personal and professional experience with it.  By the way, "placebo" is a misnomer for effective treatment results.

Asthma under control: Acupuncture and Chinese medicinal herbs work!

Recently had another check up and got the good news that I have lost absolutely NO function for the last 2 years of follow up!!  That is incredible since, as I've been told many times, we all lose function with age.  "Don't be upset when you come in an your numbers are a little down; we ALL lose function with age."  Ha!  I think my MD was even fairly amazed since I have about a 50 year history with asthma.

Three years ago I started to see a specialist at National Jewish because my family MD said she couldn't handle my asthma - or what they had diagnosed as pneumonitis - any more.  I began a regular regimen of acupuncture and took Chinese medicine herbs whenever I even had a little sign of asthma.  And, for me, acupuncture and herbs work!  They could for you too.

I used to have an emergency inhaler next to the bed, in my purse, in my soccer bag, in my backpack, in my ski gear.  Now, I only have one in my purse and it is generally expired by the time I have to use it.  That's how much the asthma symptoms have improved to disappeared.

Got good health?  No?, then call me, 303-947-6224 or email DrMLucas@AcupunctureWoman.com.
